Overview
SmartGate is a multi-tenant mobile and web app for residential estates. Residents generate access codes for visitors (one-time, extended or event codes) and see when each one is used, hire verified artisans and track their arrival, buy and declutter items, pay estate dues, and follow notice boards and estate alerts. Security personnel verify codes instantly, log check-ins and check-outs in real time and approve or block access with a tap. Artisans receive job requests from residents, build ratings and work across multiple estates, and estate managers set up their community, invite residents and staff, and publish notices.

Challenge
Life in a gated estate runs on phone calls, paper visitor logs and WhatsApp groups: guests wait at the gate while security calls residents, finding a trusted plumber or electrician is down to word of mouth, dues are chased by hand, and important notices get lost. Estates needed one secure system that works for everyone in the community.
Solution
We designed and built SmartGate: instant visitor access codes with full entry history, a gate app for security to verify codes and log every visit, an artisan marketplace with real-time job requests, ratings and secure estate access, plus estate dues, notice boards, alerts, staff management and a declutter marketplace, all in one multi-tenant platform for any estate.
Impact
Residents invite guests in seconds with no calls, every visitor is logged and approved, and artisans reach residents who need them. In the words of SmartGate users on the site: "I feel so much safer now", and "I’ve had more jobs in the past 3 months than I used to get in a year."
